50 hp Force-where is serial number ??

I just bought a boat that has one of these motors.The owner is unsure of the year but thinks it's a 1994. I live 2 hours away from it so I can't check myself. The current owner has looked everywhere and can't find a serial number. I need to order a water pump kit for it and wanted to get that here before the boat comes home. The only number he could find was K127585, but I think that's a casting number or something else. Can anyone tell me where to have him look ?? Thanks.

you should find it on the other side of the engine,down where the engine bolts up to the trasom

Still can't find the serial number, but did get something to narrow it down. It says US Marine Power on it. What years were they involved with Force?? That would at least give me a range.

when you remove your cover there should be a plate right below the carburetor that should be where you find your serial number
