50 hp Force 1989

When I put the earmuffs on my engine and turn the water on no water comes out up top where it is supposed too. Is it the water pump or impellor or both and where are they. I think they are in the part that has the prop correct????????

I have a 1990 50hp and it does not have a pee hole up top, i believe it comes out from the near the back of the propeller. Its hard to see water coming out because a normal size muff does not seal around the intake holes, water sprays everywere. But i am almost positive it does come out from that area. I notice that some water does come out of the two holes midway up the rear of the motor. Hope that helps alittle, i have been unable to run it but one time since i bought it, thanks to a battery change that fried out my stator.....jas....

Thanks Jasper, that is exactly where the water used to come out, not a whole lot but enough to wet your hand. gonna mess with it some more this weekend
