Ok so I have a 50 hp E-tec motor and it keeps getting me code 38 and putting it in slow mode...The code is "no oil feedback" which the manual says it is either the injection pump or oil pressure switch. I thought it was the switch because I checked continuity in all the wires in the harness, and the fact that the motor is getting oil and hasnt blown up yet tells me that the pump is good. I replaced the switch and the pump becuase it is all one assembly. still did the same thing, then I checked to see if good voltage is coming out of the stator, and it checked out. So what I thought to do is see if it is the EMM, so I took an EMM off of another motor, and it still gave me the same code 38. So I went to the dash and disconected the warning gauges, just for the off chance that it was some how messing with the EMM. It still does the same thing...I have ran out of Ideas let me know what you think

Dumb question. The low oil pickup is some how not hitting something in the oil tank or getting hung up?? The unit itself only goes one way in the oil tank.

Everything is lined up perfectly, I aligned all of the points with the ruber and the tank.

You should never run an E-Tec with an EMM from another motor w/o resetting the injector data for your motor. Each injector is unique and severe engine damage is possible.

You need the diag sw to clear any retained codes. Then see if they recur.

You may have air in the oil system. See the shop manual for the proper procedure for purging the oil system. Failing that, you can try enterring the winterization mode and exiting several times.
