I was wondering if anyone could help me. Still new to this site. Looks like there's a lot of good guys out there helping others out. Wondering if I could take the control box from a 79 johnson 70 horse motor and switch to my 75 evinrude 50 horse motor. Looks like everything should hook up the same. I just can't get any power out of the 5x hrs controls to the motor. Nor can I get it to shift into reverse also. Any one no if they would be inner change able? My control box says johnson now with the 50.
