50 horse johnson power trim need help!!!!!!!

I have a 1983 50 hp johnson outboard. it doesnt seem like the trim and tilt is working properley. only the right side piston is moving up and down. I dissconnected the piston on each side from the motor and ran the pump and only the right piston moved up and down.

try bleeding first

thank you for your help i will try bleeding in the morning. im not sure how to bleed it i think your suppose to trim it all the way up and fill and trim it down and up again and refill.

Trim full out and up when filling. The system is self bleeding, but will need to cycle 5 to 6 times to bleed. Re check fluid level, and continue as needed.
