50 d looses prime

Changed fuel lines primer bulb, cleaned carbs. Motor starts runs good to 4000 rpm then starves for fuel pump primer bulb that is semi hard. They may run for 5 or 10 minutes and do the same or may run for half hour with no problems, any suggestions?

The problem is from the fuel pump back to the tank. Any leak in the system, bad diaphragms, or a problem with the tank itself could be the problem.
