50 2stroke hp 2000/2001 water pump

Changing my water pump this weekend but dont know if the engine is a 2000 or 2001. I need to pick up the part before heading to the ocean where the boat is located.
Question 1. Is it pretty straight forward, or are there some tricks
Question 2. Is the water pump the same on both the 2000 and 2001 50 hp 2stroke.
