I have a 1963 Sea King Ser. GG18732B. It is spiting hardly any water out the blow hole in the back of the leg. So I would like to replace the water pump. 1. Is it an impeller located in the lower unit like newer Johnsons and Mercurys? 2. What is the impeller part #?. Where can I find it? Will a Johnson impeller fit it? 3. I can get the lower leg off about one inch if motor is shifted into reverse, but I need help from there on. Need advise please.

You have to remove the powerhead in order to disconnect the shift rod.

Same impeller as 3, 4, 5.5, 6 and 7.5hp Johnson and Evinrude motors up through 1970-something.

Supreme Mariner : I couldn't find a post that would help. Then after I posted I found a thread started by Itsabouttime in 2007 and you answered it. That was what I needed.
In that post you recomended changing a gasket 303355 and an Oring 303347.. Are these Johnson part numbers? I need to know where tofind them. Please reply.
