5 HP Gamefisher Gear Case Access

Have a 5 HP Gamefisher and the prop will only turn left and right slightly before locking. I removed the prop and a plate that has 4 screws in it that reveals another area with a seal and behind it is the gears. Tried to get it ofg with a wheel puller after soaking 24 hrs. It will not pop the sealed area for access to the gears. It spins but will not pull out. The pressure applied pulled my wheelnpillet bolts out. Any suggestions

Finally pulled the second plate with a wheel puller. It took additional soaking and patients. The gear at the end of the drive shaft fell into the gear case because I pulled the drive shaft out too far when I pulled the foot off. Save yourself a lot of time when pulling the lower end off and keep the drive shaft down into the gear at the shafts end. You will know if you pulled it out too far if you hear the gear rolling around in the gear case. It also can bind the prop preventing it from spinning.
