Over the weekend i started the boat on muffs and it seem to be puffing white smoke, let it run for 15 mins and still puffing away. I have already had it out twice this season. The motor sounded fine, wondering if this normal for it to do that or where i should check if there is an issue? It's a 1996 5.7lx carb

"White smoke" is steam. First, what does your temp. gaugle read on the muffs? Second, with the engine warmed up, can you hold a hand on the exhaust elbows/risers for 10 seconds? If the temp reading is high, and/or the risers are too hot to hold, you have a cooling issue.

The temperature gauge stayed in the 160, didn't check the raisers. I did pull one of the spark plugs out. Does this seem a little dirty? They only have about 35 hours on them

Appears to be running a little rich, but this is just one plug others may look different. As for white smoke, I wouldn't worry about it unless other issues start showing up
