5.7L and alpha 1's

Just a little advice needed here. I'm looking at a '88 30' searay with twin 5.7L and alpha 1 drives. The boat has been surveyed and owner has receipts for all maintenence. I am concerned about longevity of these engines/drives. How long before I run into major maintenance issues? Engines show a little over 600 hours now.

That is my favorite combo.I have had several with no major issues at all.600 hours is not exactly low hours if it is salt water cooled.

With Perfect Preventive Maintance,.......
2000hrs. is Not unheard of.........

Most Die from Neglect Long Before That..........
