New ignition switch. New ignition coil. New starter and solenoid. Turn key and starter engages and motor starts and runs, but starter does not disengage. What is awry?

new switch wired correctly, for the starter/solenoind you mean the one attached to the starter ?
What about the slave solenoid?

without knowing which motor you have, simply follow the wire from the starter solenoid

Solenoid is mounted beside circuit breaker and easily identified. 12v applied to coil resulted in continuity of top posts, approximately 3 out of 4 times, but would show partial or no continuity between posts occasionally. I have ordered replacement.
