5.7 Volvo penta id help

Hi, I have a 1996 volvo penta model# 57FAPNCA. The problem is when I try to look it up on the Volvo website for parts or a fix it book, it say it does not exists. Any ideas? Thanks!!

That's because it's not a Volvo, it's the OMC version, from the era when OMC and Volvo were doing the joint venture thing. The parts are the same, just the model and serial numbers are different.
I can figure out which model it would convert to, but will need some information.
is the engine carbed or EFI? and do you have powersteering or not? Which outdrive do you have.

Hi, its a TBI and I have power steering. It has a dual prop, i think it is the newer style lower unit. Thanks so much!

One other thing if you can find it. Look on the tag where you found the model number, there should be a spec number. It's 7 numbers long and starts with 3868xxx
I found that it is a 5.7Gi, but still trying to narrow it down through several models.

I found that it is a 5.7Gi, but still trying to narrow it down through several models.

I will have to go to the marina this week to see if I can find that spec#. The motor is in my 25ft Chris craft concept, if that helps at all.

What boat it's in means nothing in this forum. The same engine could be in your 25ft Chris or a 21' 4Winns, the engines and drives are the same.
The manuals are up in the Adults Only sticky. You have an NC model.
Exact parts after we determine exact model numbers, but they will still take the same manuals.
