5.7, Q-jet vs Holley what makes more power?

Can you squeeze more power out of a 5.7 mercruiser by putting a Holley on it? and if so how much? Also what other mods can be made to that engine without compromising reliability?

IMO a holley is one of the better carbs available. You can probably get a tiny bit more power if you go with a holley and fine tune the jetting, power valve and secondary opening rate.

EFI my friend... Its the only way to fly, IMO... Offers slightly better power, cold starts no problem, and better fuel economy too...
