Hi All,
My daughter bought a 1998 22' Harris Kayot deck boat with the 5.7L Mercruiser Alpha one outdrive. Everything is fine but I have a question. Temps run about 139-140 when just slow cruising and wil rise to around 150-160 when pulling a skier or tuber. I think thats OK.

But I'm an old outboard guy and am used to seeing the tell tale cooling water peeing out the back. Is there a tell tale on these outdrives or is the temp gauge the only way to verify the pump impeller is working like you can on an outboard.

Thanks
Tom

Scott, Thanks for your response.. All those things were done after purchase. I just had a question about the "tell tale" water stream you have on an outboard. Is there supposed to be one on a i/o ?

No pee stream with an IO
I don't see an issue with your temps. If they start to climb closer to 170 I would do some checking. You can get an IR temp gun and measure your thermostat housing and compare with your gauge, it may be the same but may also be off a bit
