Had the boat out today for its maiden voyage after my rebuild, overheated right away! so brought her back home and worked through the cooling system, decided to replace the thermostat and the lower water pump impeller. Now I have it all back together and its cooling fine, my question is, should I have equal amounts of water coming pout of the water exit outlets on the outdrive or is it normal for one side to have more than the other. Temp seems to be running right around 140-160 degrees on the muffs.

It's common to see a bit more water out one side vs the other. The water likes to take the path of least resistance especially If the boat/trailer is tilted to one side more than the other. But be sure to inspect the two hoses at the thermostat housing that go to the exhaust system to make sure all is clear and if you have the two check ball valves, check that they are free to move and clear of debris. Sometimes while on the garden hose, restricting the side with more water for a minute may get the other side flowing properly again.
