5.5 rude impeller replace

Trying to replace the impeller on my '60 fisherman. Removed lower bolts, case opens about 1/2" when shifted to reverse but I can't see where to unhook the shift rod.

You will need to remove the power head to disconnect the shift rod. This means you will also need a new power head to exhaust housing gasket.
