Day three! Quick recap. The boat was running perfectly last weekend, and started with no problem on Monday. Then on Friday afternoon all of a sudden the boat wont start. Its turning but not popping and not evening attempting to start. I have removed the spark plugs from my 2001 Larson 230 LXI and realized that they were saturated in gasoline. I am letting it dry out to see if flooding could be the cause of why the boat still wont start. I checked the distributor cap, its dry, I believe all of the fuses under the dash are ok, but i have not checked the fuse in the engine compartment. Somebody else had sugested to check the laynard switch, which due to my lack of boating expierience, I dont really know what it is. I googled it and they are saying it is a kill switch. Any other sugestions, thanks for the help

the kill switch shoulb be located at the helm with a lanyard or something hanging off it. it's supposed to go on the operators wrist while in motion as a safety device, in case something should happen to operator it can be pulled quickly, thus cutting power to engine.

There is a kill switch directly under the throttle rod and that is connected. I pulled it off and put it back on to just double check. Somebody mentioned a engine fuse?

start simple. with a multi-meter, or test light, make sure there is proper voltage thru ignition switch, kill switch, and to coil. this takes only a couple minutes, but can narrow down culprits greatly. if you have full power all the way back to coil, then it's likely between coil and distributor. there is a circuit breaker on engine, usually a simple red button labeled "reset". also, you may want to get new plugs, as plugs don't like to be saturated.
