This motor is a great power plant for that size boat. Volvo makes the best drive system on the market today in my opinion at least for IO applications. For that size boat the 5.7 would be the only other option that may be better but the 5.0 is great when it is a FI motor. Stupid simple to use, just put it in the water and start it up. I usually start my boat up on the trailer at my house using the muffs just to make sure the battery is up to snuff and let it warm up for a few minutes.
