My 5.0 mercruiser overheated and shutdown when the hose from the stern drive came off. Hose was replaced but unable to start the engine due to no power at the engine gauges. Engine will turn by hand but no power to the ignition switch

Look at 50 amp that is on the engine somewhere

Also
Might have blown the 90 amp fuse that is on the battery lug on the starter

Outside chance since it got hot the ground cable
On back of engine got melted ?

The 50 amp push button reset on the engine and the 90 amp fuse on the starter as well as the ground cable checked out OK, thanks
How do I reset either of the safety shutdowns( the neutral safety switch and the temperature switch. Thanks

the neutral safety and temperature switches do not require reset.
do you have 12v dc supplied to the 50 amp breaker or at the slave relay?

do you have a wiring diagram? is this a carb mpi or efi
