I was locating my drain plugs using the shop manual and noticed on the starboard engine block drain, I have a wired sensor going into one side of a brass Y connector, with a brass plug on the other. Common sense tells me not to mess with the sensor or the entire brass Y connector and just remove the brass plug to drain. But it looks like the plug has not been removed in any recent history and doesn't even show signs of having a wrench on it as most brass that I work on does. So should I remove the whole assembly? Any good advice is appreciated!
