4stroke vs 2stroke weight difference

I have a 15' skiff that i purchased with no coast guard weight/power plate.

I have removed 1 1985 Mercury 50HP which NADA says weighs 145LB
I am looking at a Honda 4stroke 50HP which is listed at 215 LB

Does this seem like a large difference that would adversely effect my boats performance due to weight or is 70 lb not that big a deal back there?

With a 50 not that big deal as to feel the ride difference. It's like adding a teenager passenger into the boat.

Happy Boating

I doubt you'd notice it much, but you might want to shift a few items, like coolers and anchors up front to balance it up better. :)

i was thinking of moving my battery forward since i have to re-wire everything anyway (see: 10+" of rain in 2 hours and a broken bilge whose replacement was on my kitchen counter, FML)
The good news, i suppose, is that i was looking to repower anyway.
