Re: 45 hp chrysler leg repair
hello chysler fans,
the lower leg on my '72 45 hp chrysler just separated(the lower seam). When the motor shifted from nuetral to forward, it clunked hard and created an 1/8" gap in the seam. I can see a threaded stud inside. I have never worked on these engines and have not heard good things.
question- how much should/does a complete lower unit overhall cost in parts? is it worth trying to keep it alive? Do I have a larger problem with the clutch?
any advice from the oldtimers would be great.
