Any advice from you PWC experts???
My brothers 440 jet ski that has been in storage both inside and outside for at least ten years maybe longer, is it worth trying to restore??
He kept it in great condition, when he ran it, left it behind when he moved to a new AFB. Do not belive it was ever put up or prepared for storage.
Can I run in it CA because of new emisions stuff?
I know it is underpowered by todays standards but wanted to use for younger kids?
If it is not worth it, How does one dispose of unwanted PWC???
Thanks for your help in advance

I have never dealt with standups, but by my nature, I would tear into it and try to get it running. If nothing else, it would give you an idea as to weather the young ones plan on staying with it. If your not into tinkering, I would list it on e-bay, there is always some enthousiast that would take it as a project ski.

If it isn't locked up, Didn't freeze and hurt the block, and the hull is in decent shape, I would tend to say it is worth "restoring" (I am assuming you are donig the work....even if not I think it would be worth it at a shops labor rate provided it meats the above criteria). I would ..assume.. it is still legal for use in CA (seeing as when it was made), but this is easy enough to check (call wildlife dept., marina, or even a dealer).
