40HP yamaha info needed

i have a Yamaha outboard the numbers are<br />40LEG and then 6H4 L 413536 i think it is an '83.Is it? it needs a solenoid. thanks

I believe this is correct:<br />40 = 40hp<br />L = Long Shaft (20")<br />E = Electric Tilt<br />g = 1988 model
