My 40hp Yamaha (97 model 3 cyl.) model C4041 RW was stored incorrectly and I had to clean the carbs and fuel lines. It runs great when I get it going but when I slow to a low idle is makes a banging racket in the motor. I took it out again the other day and after idling a short period it quit and I never got it to fire again. The emergency start lever is in the normal position, should it be in the closed position? Could this have anything to do with the auto choke?
