Sorry I forgot, mine is a 2014 Tohatsu M40d2 .
How does one bleed and replace the hydrolic fluid in the ram ? The bleed screw is in the lower section , I can't just top it up .
What is your actual model and manufacturer? Assuming it is that same M40D2, one tilts up and down, and then refills. On the newer style, the refill cap is on the cylinder; on the older style, the refill cap is on the motor side.
You can pull the circlip and remove the manual valve if you want to drain it. Fill through the fill cap. Tilt and return. Refill. Do that about 10 times over a few days and you should be OK.
