4000 GEN 11 controls same cables as Commander 2000?

Hi All,

Just after some info, I'd like to change from surface mount to flush mount controls. Can anyone tell me if I will need to change my cables (brand new!) if I change my controls from the Commander 2000 to the Mercury 4000 Gen II controls?

Yes, you will need new Gen II cables as well.

Ok thanks, are the engine ends the same? I don't yet really know what I'm looking for.
