Guys do you know where I can download a manual for my motor? I have a 40 Yamaha MHLT

There are lots of places to order manuals from in the web , just take your pick. Here is one place I found for service manuals that looked interesting, but have not tried yet. Let us know if you use it and how it works out for you.

You might be able to look at it on Yamaha's web sight depending on the year

I believe its 95, On the Yamaha website you can view 98 and up only. Thanks guys for all your help.

If there are no changes that should work for you. Look at the yamaha web sight for ardering a manual for both those years and see if they are the same part #

I saw a web sight the other day that had them for viewing as well but didnt save it. It was something like dino???

If you recheck your model number, I think you will find it's a 40MLHT, not a MHLT. This would make it a 95 model, and the Yamaha parts site http://www.yamaha-motor.com/outboard/parts/home.aspx goes back to 1984. If you are looking for the OEM service manual, it's PN is LIT-18616-01-19 available from your local Yamaha dealer.
