I have a yamaha 40 hp outboard(2006) on a Dux boat. While running today in shallow water, found the bottom. After shutting engine down and moving off sand into deeper water, pull started engine and motored once again. The auto trim however will not hold the engine in the upper positions. After I trima nd begin motoring the engine false back to its lowest position. Is something seriously wrong with trim or am I just missing something?
