I have a '86 40hp model # E40ELCD with a fouling/washed down problem on the
lower cyl. I have rebuilt the carbs, replaced the plugs (QL77JC4), thermostat,
reeds and fuel pump. This is a pre-mix engine with the VRO removed and a BRP
fuel pump block mounted. The lower carb spits more fuel at idle and dumps more
at cruise than the upper one. I've had the carb apart several times and can see
nothing wrong. I think I must be overlooking something. Thanks in advance,
