4 Winds Dilemma

I was about to purchase a used 1997 Four Winns Horizon with a 403 Volvo and Cobra Max outdrive. I called my marina operator to offer suggestions. His response was out of 8 Four Winns at the marina 4 are always in for repair form changing fuel pumps to steering hydraulic problems. Can anyone offer suggestions? Are there inherent problems with this year or style of boat.

Four Winns are good boats, the volvo sx/cobra was also a good package ( and I own a Merc), I know a few people that own them, and have no complaints, I think your marina operators opinion may be a bit narrow minded , they don't happen to sell another brand boat and engine drive packages do they. I would seek more opinions from Four Winns/volvo sx owners.
