I have a 4 cyl OMC/Drive I pulled my boat out this year, put the muffs on and started it up. I noticed there wasn't any water coming out the prop and that the water was actually coming out the motor. It seems to becoming out the exhaust manifolds only on one side though. Can someone help determine what this could be from or how it can be fixed? Thanks.

Does this apply to a Mercruiser 165 4 cyl? My boat mechanic told me I only had to pull the plug on the exchanger closest to the transom to drain mine. No problmes yet but I dont want any either. If I should be draining from somewhere else I will. .

From-Sikz3 " stupid question maybe but, Are the drain plugs closed?? "

You know on my drive into work this morning, I was wondering the same question! It didn't even cross my mind yesterday when I had it hooked up yesterday. I know I didn't close the plugs at the end of last year, so tonight when I get home I am going to tighten the plugs and hope thats where the water was coming from.....my god I am an idiot if that's where the water was coming from. At the same time I hope thats where the water was coming from. I am not sure who asked..."maybe something clogged the drain and froze".....well that could be possible but when i drain mine I always hook a shop vac up to the plugs and suction out any remaining water for that reason. Thanks for the help and I will keep you posted to either the good or the bad!
