4 blade omc pin style props?

do they make 4 blade props to fit on old stringer pin type drives? in stainless?<br />thanks to all who know.<br />nick

these props that are advertised with a hub to fit all models,.. can an old style hub with the pin be made to fit?

both in 15-23" pitch.<br /><br />I'm a little confused when you say 'stringer pin' but if you look closely on the pics you can decide if you actually have the splined shaft.<br /><br /> Shortcut to Express picture.<br /><br />If so, even the 4-blade designs will be available.<br /><br />Goggle search for

prop "4-blade" johnson -mercury cobra

returns several.

the prop shaft in my boat is smooth,(no splines, or keyways) and the prop is turned by a pin that goes thru the shaft and the prop, the end cap then holds that pin in place<br />the end cap is held on by a cotter pin also thru the shaft. the boat is a 1973.

Different from the info mentioned in previous post, obviously.<br /><br />Think you should call some of the prop shops to know what's available.

So you are using a shear pin.

well,.... the pin is fairly thick, and it doesn't shear too easy , i scraped the prop, and screwed the edges, so i'm looking for another,....
