I was given a 4.5 Merc, but cant seem to find the year out.. serial # is 7129030.<br />.It looks reasonably new, hasnt been used for 5 years.<br />Thanx in advance
It's a 1985. I just bought one of the same hp & year earlier this year. Hadn't been run in 8 years. I put a new plug, changed the lower end oil and it started right up. Just ran it for 2 days trolling without a problem. Good luck with yours.
