4.3L Vortec Head Install Question

Hey guys quick question on the installation of the valve rockers on a 2009 4.3L Mercruiser S/N 1A325901.

I've installed many heads but never the Vortec heads as this engine has. I have the heads installed and torqued down and just going to install the valve rockers. Is it like the older heads where you find TDC of each cylinder and set the push rods to zero lash? Or do you just crank the rockers down to 22 ft/lbs as the manual states.

just crank down to 22 lb-ft unless you changed the valve-train to adjustable rockers

Thanks for the quick replay Scott. Nope haven't changed anything. So I am able to just torque the rockers no worries about having to find TDC of any cylinders?

pre-set by GM, no need to do anything except tighen. if you start to change things like cams,etc. switch to adjustable valve train.

Though I would torque them with the cylinders at TDC
