Ok, I yanked off the exhuast manifolds and noticed the wires to the solonoid on top of the starter were corroded. When I cranked on the battery wire bolt, I broke the plastic backing on the solonoid It seems the replacement solonoid is a "metric" one. The solonoid on top of the starter motor has 3 terminals. 1 red wire for the battery, one yellow/red and 1 purple wire. In my hast to fix the solonoid on the starter motor, I lost track of witch terminal is yellow/red and witch one is purple. can someone tell me were the yellow/red wire goes and where the purple wire goes? This was a foolish error on my part.
