I have a 4.3L GL-D(2005) volvo penta engine in my boat, I had a risor fail rusting my cyliders up. I decided to go with a new block and ran across a awesome deal through a marina going out of business. However it is a Mercruiser 4.3L long block. Both manufacturers use GM blocks so shouldn't it be a direct replacement? There shouldnt be anything differant with the heads that I can think of is there?
