4.3L GL sea water impeller

I am replacing the sea water impeller and would like to know if it matters which way the vanes rotate in reference to the way the crank shaft spins. Thanks for any advice.

Put the impeller in the housing first. It's a lot easier to install that way.
Look at the curve on the blades in this picture.
