have adjusted the auto choke on my 1990 omc 4.3l GM motor. I noticed that the tube comeing from the manifold to the choke was mounted on a plate with TWO holes one for the heat tube what is the other for? The plate i am talking about is the one on the manifold. should i be able to see in side the manifold thru this hole? maybe this other hole should be covered if for no other reason than to keep dust out?

No dont cover or plug it. Air draws through it and gets warmed by the exhaust then in turn warms the choke coil and opens the choke.
If you plug it the choke wont work at all.
Just keep it clean.
On cars (when they used that set up) there was a tube to the air cleaner from one hole. I dont know if there is any thing factory on yours.

Thanks for the info! Is that Greg Biffle who drives the #16 car and is 11th in the points? Had looked several other places for the answer and could not find it? Thanks again!
