4.3 mercruise exhaust and risers on volvo with a sx drive

I have a 1994 3.0 that is blown with a volvo sx outdrive I want to put a 4.3 liter motor in it I know the bell housing and coupler are different along with the raw water pump. my question is will merc cruiser exhaust and risers work with the volvo y pipe also can I make a bracket for the raw water pump and use that

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... The motor's bellhousing bolt patterns are the Same,....

The outdrive Gear ratio is gonna be Wrong....

I kinda doubt Merc manifolds will line up, but never tried it...

'n, I don't know what yer gonna do for the raw water pump...

I doubt you'll be able to 'bubba' it. Either sell the boat as is and get something with a bigger motor or go ahead with the 4.3 conversion but you need VP parts to do it and a new drive with the correct gear ratio.

The out drive has a 1.85 ratio which comes on some 6 cyl I am running a 15 pitch pitch and would move up to a 19 pitch with the 6 cyl

I was looking at a remanufactured engine on ebay and the post said volvo and mercruiser. the engine was complete with exhaust and risers I called and I told me that they are universal exhaust manifolds and risers.that the only thing I would need is the rest of my volvo accessories. after looking at the measurements between mercruiser and volvo exhaust manifolds there is a quarter inch difference between the manifold and the cylinder head and a half inch height difference to the top of the riser has anybody ever heard of a universal exhaust manifold 4 this application? is the difference in the turn down tubes where it attaches to the y pipe? or is he just full of s**t and either not know what he's talking about or just trying to sell me something any help would be great
