4.3 merc cruise crownline 21SS

Is a 4.3 Merc cruise with 220hp enough power on a Crownline 21SS? It will be pulling kids water skiing and maybe some adults.

Yes. It will handle most of your water sports adequately.

Its not going to be a speed demon but will do what your asking it to do just fine.

I have an opportunity to buy a 2012 21 SS Crownline that is spotless and a really reasonable price. It has the 4.3 Merc Cruiser 220hp 6 cylinder. I like a bot with good speed and power and just don't want to get into one that I feel is under powered and is going to strain. The lake I am on is big and can get rough at times. I don't know how the Crownline will handle real choppy waters.
Do we have anyone here that has a similar boat under similar conditions.

Your boat will probably hit 45-50 with a light load and propped right depending on where you are, Crownlines enjoy a nice ride, they are considered heavy boats and so you would enjoy a softer ride then other boats in similar conditions 16degree deadrise helps as well, the 4.3L has the same horsepower as the 5.0L carbed motor.

Yes for me I would prefer more horsepower but that's the way I am. I don't know specifically what exactly your looking for but for reference I know where you can get a 202 Crownline with a 502 if that is more your style.....1998 202 Crownline It just depends on what you want, a 202 with a 502 would be a handful!!

I just read your original question, and I have the exact same concern. Did you buy the boat with the 4.3 v6? I'm really concerned about pulling a slalom skier, will the hole shot be fast enough? Let me know your thoughts. I'm about to purchase this boat!
