4.3 Harmonic Balancer (89-92)

92 Sea Ray
4.3 Mercruiser engine
4bbl Carb

Replacement engine:
89 (?)

Truck engine.
(for the tangents)-Bass plugs, marine head gasket, truck cam, all electrical accessories from mercruiser engine.
My issue: The harmonic balancer between the two engines is different. Please help me understand what detail I have overlooked. How do I correct this situation?
The 92 pulley mounted on the 89 balancer misaligned the belt. Perhaps it is as simple as mounting the 92 balancer on my 89 current block? However the difference in balanced crank vs non balanced cranks make me question, perhaps this is my issue?

I'm trying to mount all front accessories from 92 on the front of 89 block.

wont work, you are playing with two different generations of 4.3's

then get a 1992-1995 vintage replacement block and heads.

or get a complete set of brackets and pulleys from the 1987-1991 mercruiser. and you need the squishy engine mounts because you are now going to a non-balance shaft motor

getting a $300 correct vintage motor would be cheaper than buying a grand worth of mounts, brackets and pulleys.
