4.3 GS will not start? (did yesteday)

Sorry - I am new to this...

Have a 98' 175ssx excel (4.3 ltr) V6. Just bought yesterday. Ran and fired right up at the lake and at my home last night. What changed?

1. I added a radio (old was missing).
Radio works perfectly and I tried to start...no go?

Cleaned the carb
Replaced the plugs

nothing?

turns, turns, will not crank?

What am I missing - seems like such a simple engine (volvo pena)

Feels electrical as fuel is hitting the carb.
New battery - but is being drained by my constant attemps to turn it over..Just will not fire - crank, crank, crank....

Under the dash is a nice litte fuse bus, all seemed perfect. What would change?

Did you bump the cutoff switch while messing around the dash? Check it..

No - I do not think so. I verified all looked connected. Still will not fire. Cranks fine - just wont catch? Feels fake, like something is stoping it....

If you had a boat that ran and you added something to it and now it doesn't start.......
Well i'm no pro but i'd start with taking out what I added....

Could be several things, you are going to have to trace it down. I would start with determining if you have spark. Do not pour gas down the carb as you probably have a Holley carb and the backfire will blow out the power valve. I would double check the safety cutoff switch, if it moved even a little it would kill the spark. They are very touchy. I would also retrace your steps when you installed the stereo, you may have bumped something while running wires ect.

May I ask where did you get power for the radio?

Did you hook it to the ignition switch?

Took to the shop and they expressed that my Engine Wiring Harness was bad. I really dont buy it..

They took a jumper wire to my (Red/White) fuel pump -->directly to positive battery and boom...Started right up.

They expressed - until my harness is delivered I could HARD WIRE the relay..

Black(2 together)
Red (1)
Red/White (1)--Fuel pump power
Green and Yellow(2 together)

How do I put these onto the relay?
