4.3 Exhaust riser drain fitting shattered, How do I replace? Pics included

Supposed to get down to freezing again this week, so I decided I better drain the block since I ran the boat this weekend. Block and port side exhaust riser plugs came out no problem, but the little blue plastic on on the stbd side broke off at the handle. I was trying everything I could to get onto it to get it out, and ended up shattering the whole elbow fitting that comes out of the bottom of the manifold. I had no idea it was plastic.

Anyway, can someone help me figure out what to do now? I obviously need to replace the fitting, but how to do I do that and what exactly do I need?

should just unscrew, worst case pull the manifold and torch it out.

Its now broken off flush. Guess I'm pulling the manifold. Any tips? Can I leave the riser on when I pull it?

yes

for future reference, the center portion of the threaded end of the blue plugs are hollow - an easy out fits perfectly in the hole and they spin right out

torx bit banged in the hole and undo.copper slip should be used on the others so they don't seize.

Think they make a screw extractor big enough to pull out the remnant part of the fitting thats now broken off flush?

Those fittings are installed with Loctite??? Heat the manifold and use a small pick to dig out the pieces.

Yes, you can probably get an ez-out that will fit the larger hole of the elbow. Got one in my tool box now.
I have seen those elbows with teflon tape on them, but never loctite. It's a pipe thread so I wouldn't think anyone would put loctite on them, but you never know.

Yes, you can probably get an ez-out that will fit the larger hole of the elbow. Got one in my tool box now.
