I have a 2001 4.3 EFI Mercruiser that won't start from time to time. When this happens I have to take off the fuel filter, put a splash of fuel in it as the fuel level is down about a 1/2" in the filter. Then it fires up just fine. This only happens when it has been run on the lake then sits for about 30 minutes. I am looking for what may be causing this. Like I said it doesn't do this all the time.
