4.3 crank horse power?

i repowered my boat with a volvo penta 4.3 gxi (multi port fuel injection) engine 225 hp rating at the prop, i was wondering what the crank hp would be on this engine since it would loose some going thru the outdrive gears. i am running this in a jet drive configuration.

The rule of thumb is 10% loss through transmission of power.

i installed a k&n marine cold air intake on this engine any idea on the hp boost that would give?

1, maybe less.
Install a Vortec Cyclone unit, TV ad claims 10% horsepower increase.
FlameThrower spark plugs, claimed 10% increase in horsepower.
Snake oil, guaranteed to separate you from your money.
