I have a problem hooked my boat up the the muffs the first time this year and it fired right up. but the round plug that goes in the block under the motor mount popped out and water just rushes out. What can i do? is it just pressed in? Thanks!
There probably won't be any water in the oil with the "CORE Plug" missing. Once you get a new plug in it, run it for a while and see if your oil level starts rising and the oil turns milky.
ok well it was a chore but i got the plug back in. hooked it up to the muffs and let it warm up to around 200 till the thermostat opened and brought it back down to around 160-180. checked the oil. still slick and clear. seems ok.
Keep a close eye on the oil after you run it under load on the water.
You may have dodged a huge bullet!
Next year drain the block and manifolds before winter storage.They can freeze in the garage unless you have constant heat in there.
