Engine runs for about 5 minutes then Quit's, Seems to be overheating. Replaced Impeller and seems to be <br />pumping water. Any Idea's? Thanks. This is a 3 hp,1992, Model 3MSHP, Yamaha
Hey MFish,<br />Sounds more like a fuel problem from the limited information you provided. I'd make a thorough check of the fuel delivery system, from tank through carb, to rule that out. A small outboard will run for about 5 minutes on the gas in the carb bowl. I'm not familiar enough with your particular motor to give you specifics so I'm really shooting from the hip.
