Hi all,
I had my grandfathers Starcraft boat stored at my house. A windstorm knocked over a tree in my yard and nicked the bow. Put a 8” long crease in it about a 1/2 inch deep. I tried my best to work the dent out with body hammers but it stretched and looks terrible. I am curious if the 3m premium body filler is ok to use covered by barrier coat then painted the hull color. It makes me sick that his boat was damaged at my house and I want to do a good fix. I’ve been considering bringing the boat to a body shop. Having the dent cut out and patched. I don’t know. Please advise.

Fiberglass or aluminum Starcraft?

Body putty should never be used on a boat. Fairing compound is what you need

I personally would hammer and dolly it out if its an aluminum boat
